- Title, name of author, teacher's
name and date.
- Purpose- This should be
one or two sentences. Explain the reason for doing this lab.
- Hypothesis- Make an
educated guess or prediction. Do not use "I." Instead, use,
"It is thought that…." Or, "It is believed that…."
- Materials and Procedure -
What you used, how much, and what you did. The materials should be listed
and the procedure should be given in numbered steps.
- Data and Observations-
All data and observations are included in this section.
- Analysis - This is where
you explain what your data means. Interpret your data and any mistakes that
were made. Any results that were not predicted are explained here. Examine
your materials and procedures for an explanation. Do not repeat the
information included in your data section.
- Conclusion - In one or
two sentences explain if your results agree or disagree with your
hypothesis.
