Acid
rain affects humans by polluting their food and water. It gets people sick and can cause breathing problems and it can be
harmful to people
with asthma.
What are some of the direct effects of acid rain on humans? Are there any health problems associated with acid rain?
What
are some of the indirect effects of acid rain on humans? Does acid rain affect
our sources of food, water and air?
Some indirect effects on humans are vomiting, not being able to breathe, and teary eyes. Another indirect effect of acid rain on humans is toxic metals absorbed in fruits, vegetables, and in the tissues of animals. These toxic metals do not directly affect animals but they do have serious effects on humans when consumed. For example mercury, when accumulated in the organs and tissues of animals does not do anything to them, while in children it has been known to cause brain damage, nerve disorders, and death.
Acid rain affects our sources of food, water, and air. If it gets into
our food it will be like a poison and our water will become contaminated. The
air will be dusty, gray and foggy and it will not be clean and clear.
Acid rain
does have consequences on humans and makes people very sick. The acid slowly
eats away whatever it has settled upon. Acid rain is both dangerous and
